How does it work?

 

Blitz Concession is a concessions platform designed for volunteer-based organizations. Organizations do a one-time setup of the items they sell and then create events and add inventory to their items. Customers can order and pay online for their items or come to the window to purchase with several payment options. Blitz Concessions allows for inventory management, reduced lines, and increased sales to increase your organization's revenue.

 

How difficult is it to set up?

 

Blitz Concessions prides itself on its easy setup and management for your organization. It lets you quickly download and use items in our database or create your own. Setting up for your first event can be as quick as a couple of hours. Once events and inventories are set up, inventory can be transferred to the next event to avoid time-consuming data entry. Reports are real-time and easy to use.

 

How difficult is it to implement?

 

Blitz concessions are intuitive and easy to implement. Promoting Blitz Concessions with your customers is essential, as are all new processes. We know you have many new volunteers at each event. Volunteer training videos make it easy for constantly changing volunteers to learn the system in 10 minutes or less.

 

What type of payment methods are they?

 

Blitz Concessions accepts credit cards for online purchases. You can also use cash, credit, comp, and student accounts at the window. Diverse payment methods help keep track of your inventory so that you can quickly and efficiently order for future events. Tracking every item as it goes out of the stand helps eliminate theft and realize actual profits using available reports.

 

What type of hardware does this require?

 

Blitz Concession has no specific hardware requirements. However, organizations must have strong WiFi for the platform to work efficiently. Touchscreen devices are ideal for using Blitz Concessions most efficiently. The goal of Blitz Concessions is not to tie organizations down with expensive equipment. All processes are integrated into the platform to reduce costs.

 

Can fans order in advance?

 

Yes, organizations choose a publish date for their event. Events will be available to order from at the desired publish date and will not be available after the event's end time. Organizations can choose specific items to be “pre-ordered only.” These items are only available for purchase before the event to increase sales with outside vendors.

 

 

Is this a ticketing system? (Can I sell tickets through this software?)

 

No, Blitz Concessions is not designed to provide tickets for entry to events. It can be used for events like drive-thru suppers, but It does not offer traditional ticketing.

 

Does it auto-update your inventory?

 

Blitz Concessions is a sophisticated inventory program showing real-time inventory during your event.

 

Can you sell any type of food?

 

You can sell anything legal on this platform. Blitz Concessions has strict terms of service regarding selling anything illegal or otherwise questionable on the platform. We reserve the right to stop an event or delete an item for sale if it violates our standard practice.

 

Is there a user limitation? How much do additional users cost?

 

The number of users and events is unlimited. Blitz Concessions uses a percentage-of-sales approach for all events, allowing limitless users. It can easily be used for events of all sizes to help increase sales regardless of size.

 

Is there a limit on the number of products I can have in my catalog/inventory?

 

No, there is no limit to the number of items you can put into the platform.

 

Is there an age limit for volunteers?

 

Blitz Concessions does not determine whether an organization can use volunteers of a certain age. Please refer to your local regulations.

 

Do you need a food handlers certificate?

 

Organizations need to refer to their local food handling laws and comply accordingly. Blitz Concessions does not monitor or regulate an organization as a proper accreditation to sell items.

 

Can you sell alcohol?

 

You will need to ask your local alcohol control authorities about whether or not it is legal to sell alcohol on the Blitz Concessions platform.

 

Can you set up donations?

 

You will need to verify that your organization's donation collection practices are not legally restricted. However, the platform can handle transactions with specific dollar amounts.

 

How do tips work?

 

Blitz Concessions does not have a tipping feature at this time.

 

Can you manage the volunteer schedules?

 

Blitz Concessions has built-in reminders when you add volunteers to the system and will send them the information to sign in to Blitz and get them started. It also generates automatic reminders about upcoming shifts for events that they have been assigned to work.

 

Do I have to recreate an event each time manually?

 

Ideally, you set up all the events on the calendar when the schedule is available. The set up for events is very quick. The inventory from your first event can be forwarded to future events, and adjustments can be made based on purchases.

 

What type of customer support do you offer?

 

We are available from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm 7 days a week.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

 

We only charge if you do an event. There are no contracts or fees. We charge a percentage of total sales per event.

 

 

Does the platform create your "X", "Y", and "Z" forms for tax purposes?

 

No, Blitz Concessions does not provide tax forms, pay taxes due for an organization, or give tax advice. Organizations must determine the requirements for their city, state, or federal tax implications for items sold from the Blitz Concessions platform.


 

How does it help the organization make more money?

 

Blitz Concessions is a unique platform designed primarily for booster clubs and other non-profits as an affordable option with several features to enhance profits. Features include integrated credit card payment options that don’t require expensive equipment integrations. Additionally, it allows you to post, promote, and presell your online menu in advance and during your event. Finally, extensive reports that are automatically generated will enable you to plan your purchases to make the most efficient and profitable decisions about your inventory, increasing your profitability.

 

How hard is it for high-turnover volunteers to learn and use?

 

Blitz Concessions has been created with your volunteers in mind. Designed with the KISS theory (Keep It Simple Stupid), we have made the menu screens and order processing seamless and intuitive. We aim to have the fewest keystrokes for the cashier and the most accurate for your inventory and cash balances. 

 

What are the real benefits of selling items from an online menu?

 

The benefits of online menus to your concessions are numerous.

  • Your estimated increase in sales is 25% (at a minimum). 

  • You can sell inventory before your event. This allows you to plan better for items that you need. 

  • Online ordering allows for Pre-order items that can only be sold until a specific time before your event. This feature will enable you to partner with outside vendors and have a more appealing menu for your fans. Most importantly, this creates a zero inventory option to avoid costly over-purchases that often happen when trying to use outside vendors.

  • Inventory will always be accurate.

  • These are all credit card sales and will reduce mistakes or theft with handling cash in the stand.

 

What kind of reporting does Blitz offer?

 

Blitz Concessions has multiple reports that help you track inventory, reorder, balance sales for all payment types, and track profitability in simple, easy-to-read reports.

 

How big must my concession business be to make it worth using Blitz Concessions?

 

We have built a business model to encourage all organizations to use Blitz Concessions, regardless of their concession size and number of events. We want to help the big programs be more efficient, reduce waste, and increase sales. However, we have also created a program that gives the smaller programs the chance to increase their revenues dramatically without spending it all on the platform.

 

How much does Blitz Concessions cost?

 

Blitz Concessions charges a percentage of sales. However, there are built-in opportunities to zero the cost of using Blitz Concessions. There are situations that you could actually make money using Blitz Concessions.
